19200 Relay
Some Students from SCS participated in the 19200m relay this year.
Grade 5 had very consistent results. All the runners ran 1200m in about 5 minutes each.

Ms. Vander Heiden
and I have worked very, very hard at creating a French blog to support your
child’s learning at home. On Wednesday we filmed scene one and two of the
current play “L’arbre Ungali” and it will be uploaded to the blog as soon as
possible. Please, please make sure your child continues memorizing gestures
with the English translation (found on paper in your child’s French duotang).
Please, please make sure you child starts ALSO starts listening and memorizing
the play “L’arbre Ungali”. Eventually your child will find out which role
he/she will be playing in the final production of the play. For now, he/she
should become so familiar with the play (also found on paper in your child’s
French duotang) that it becomes memorized. Ms. Vander Heiden will be
filming and adding scenes 3, 4, 5 and 6 to the blog in the weeks to come.

Pay It Forward -- Volleyball Program
Senior Girls and Boys Volleyball Players, Mr. Melissen, Mr. Nill would like to invite all students in Grade 4-6 to come to the high school to learn to play the game of volleyball. You will have opportunity to play with an age appropriate ball and net, learn basic skills, and in the process have some fun playing volleyball.
We will be playing from 3:15pm – 4:15pm on Thursdays in May (ie. Beginning May 3, May 10, May 17, and ending May 24.). The interested students will be able to take a bus from the Middle school to the High School and meet at the gym.
This program is limited to 40 kids so please email Mr. Melissen: jmelissen@surreychristian.com to confirm your spot.

Number the Stars Response Journal and Questions
In 5F we are reading Number the Stars.
We will be completing response journals after every couple of chapters.
These will be a page of writing based on some starter questions on the assignment page. Student responses are not limited to those questions.
